Good morning to all! Today I am going to talk about “My Most Memorable Vacation Trip Till Now”

After a long Covid break, we decided to go to our home town via train. It is really an interesting moment in my life. Since I got a window seat, I am able to view the scenaries, lakes, mountains, ponds, wind mills at Aralvoimozhi, Thamiraparani River, etc. We stayed there in a small village called Elavuvilai in Kanyakumari district, to celebrate my little cousin’s birthday. I enjoyed playing with him the whole day.

There are so many ponds in that village. We went into the shoreline of a big pond and took some photos there. Wherever we turn we can see lushgreen spots.

The next day, we walked on the banks of Kuzhithurai River. There we took some snaps, had some snacks and cool drinks, and bought some flowering plants near that river. My mom bought honey from the Cooperative Society. My good audience might have heard about Marthandam honey, which is really a pure Agmarkone. Every year we celebrate Vavubali on Aadi Amavasa, which is one of the important festivals celebrated by all people in that district. On behalf this, a big Vavubali exhibition will be conducted in that place, where children like me enjoy the most.

Later, we went shopping and bought some pretty toys and dresses. Then we reached MathoorThottipalam or Mathoor Hanging Bridge, which is the longest and largest drought-relief bridge in Asia. It has 28 pillars and is 115 feet high. This was built across the Parazhiyar River by our late chief minister of Tamil Nadu, PerunthalaivarKamarajar, to carry water for irrigation purpose from one side of the hill to the other side. We spent sometime on the children’s park and ate some pineapple and pieces of jackfruit. On the bridge, we can see the breath-taking scenic beauty of the surrounding places, which is really a wonderful view.

These memories linger on my mind still evergreen. We are yet to visit so many places like Thiruparappu Falls, Kanyakumari Beach, Colachel Harbour, Pechuparai Dam, etc., which we will visit in the upcoming holidays.
