Position: PGT – Economics Teacher

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate PGT Economics Teacher to guide senior secondary students in understanding economic principles, analytical thinking, and real-world applications of economics. The candidate should be able to create an engaging learning environment that prepares students for academic success and higher education.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Economics to senior secondary students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum
• Develop students’ understanding of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and current economic issues
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources to support student achievement
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement
• Participate in school activities, examinations, and collaborative planning sessions

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Economics with B.Ed. (mandatory)
• Experience in teaching Economics at the senior secondary level preferred
• Strong subject knowledge and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and classroom management abilities
• Ability to make economic concepts relevant, engaging, and easy to understand
